Post-update trades: check the sample before the result
Verdict: treat performance after an EA's last update as a sample-size check, not automatic validation. Of the 26 default audits in our catalog on 4 September 2026, only 13 had at least one trade in that later window.
| EA | Later window | Trades | Share of its run |
|---|---|---|---|
| Gold Snap | 46 days | 20 | 0.5% |
| CryonX | 201 days | 173 | 4.2% |
| Twister Pro Scalper | 5 days | 2 | 0.2% |
Dates do not create evidence
The later window begins after the recorded update date. It is useful because those prices had not yet occurred when that version was published, but the date says nothing about whether the sample is large enough.
Gold Snap made 29.73 USD across 20 trades after its 2026-06-27 update; its next update, on 2026-08-31, came after our test window, so the current build has no later trades at all. Twister Pro Scalper had only two later trades, so even a clean result would remain too thin for a confident conclusion.
Read the trade count before the ratio
CryonX had the longest later window in that set, yet it still contained only 173 trades. Its profit factor fell from 2.62 before release to 0.79 after the last update, with a 59.52 USD loss in that later period.
The comparison is informative, but it is not a forecast. Check the recorded dates, then the number of later trades, and only then the profit figure; a dramatic ratio based on a handful of trades should stay a warning, not become a verdict.
