Smart Gold Hunter review: most trades win, the 2.0 default loses

A concise evidence review. Read the audit.

Verdict: in version 2.0, the build we audited, Smart Gold Hunter's default configuration lost money, and every audited configuration has red structure and prop-fit ratings. The default ended 1,418.55 USD below its starting balance after costs. Version 3.3 (2026-08-23) renamed the Scalper profile and made a new Striker profile the default; that build and its default are not audited.

ConfigurationCompleted tradesResult after costs
Scalper, default in 2.010,416-1,418.55 USD
Prop Scalper10,053-931.58 USD
Positive RR5,065233.16 USD
Swinger8,3592,048.58 USD

The configuration changes the sign, not the warning

Two configurations lost money and two finished positive. Even the stronger Swinger result reaches break-even with another 0.25 USD of cost per trade, while Positive RR has only 0.05 USD of room.

Choosing a configuration matters, but none removes the audit's red structure and prop-fit verdicts. A small positive result is not enough to make the underlying warnings disappear.

The high win rate did not protect the account

The default result was already negative before commission and swap. It also recorded 18 negative calendar years, so the final loss was not confined to one short setback.

Many profitable exits came through stops, which helps explain why the win rate looks stronger than the balance. The value of a win rate depends on the size of wins and losses, not only on how often each occurs.

Opposing positions add another risk

The default held long and short positions at the same time in 585 recorded moments. That exposure produces the red structure rating shared by all four configurations.

For a buyer, the useful conclusion is simple: the default lost, the alternatives did not resolve the structural warning, and the profitable results had narrow cost margins. The full audit provides the configuration matrix and evidence behind each rating.
